Your Untapped Potential

Allow me a few minutes on my soapbox and know that this is not just for you it also my personal reminder of the importance of tapping into our potential. Why is it that when we were children we had such big dreams for our futures and it seemed that no one could talk us out of those dreams. We dreamed for so much more and we were going to reach for the stars.

Fast forward to today and as adults, many of us have given up on our dreams. We have filed those dreams in a place where we seldom visit or some of us visit that place and then we get upset when we think about what we could have had. Now, now, don't get upset with me for bringing you back to a place when your were oh so confident and no one could pop your bubble. I'm just here to remind you that unless you are on the other side of the earth, you can still make a decision and take action to create the life you want by tapping into your potential.

First you have to make the decision and be wiling to put in the work to get what you want from this precious life that you have been gifted with. Yes, we can blame a host of people or situations for why our life is not what is should be. After a while, we will have to look in the mirror and be honest about the role we play in not living our best lives.

One of my favorite poem by Marianne Williamson, shares the following - ".........we ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone."

So I ask, when will you tap your potential and start using the gifts and talents that God has given to you? When will you make the decision and take the lead so you can create the life that you so desire?

I wold love to hear what you are doing to tap into your potential.
