Make Time to Unwind
I had to make the time to go out and enjoy nature to unwind from a particular stress point that I experienced today. The day started off on a high note, I had to get to a location in New York City and was very proud of the fact that I navigated my way there and didn’t get lost. For me that’s quite an accomplishment as I have experienced my share of challenges navigating the NYC public transportation system.
Things started to shift as I found myself getting caught up in someone else’s chaos at work, as a result of them making a decision and not thinking through the consequences. And when the consequences arrived, they felt it best to pull others into their chaos. Although you try to avoid being pulled in, sometimes it gets the best of you. I sensed the change in my body as I started to get quite frustrated and apparently my face was also showing what I was feeling. Still having the feeling of ‘I just don’t understand why some people enjoy chaos,’ I knew I needed to unwind. I took the opportunity once I got home to go use my camera and the more time I spent outside the calmer and more grounded I felt, a great ending to my day.
